Virechan is considered as a panchakarma procedure to detox Pitta dosha. Romoval of excess Pitta dosha from gut cavity is known as Virechan. It’s procedure is mainly caried out in 3 stages. 1. Purvakarma (preparatary procedure): – It consist of a) langhan, Deepan, Pachana = Promoting Agni b) Snehana & Abhyangam = Oleation & Massage c) Swedana = Sudation or Sweating Therapy. 2. Pradhan Karma (Majorkarma): – This is actual Virechan Karma. Patient asked to take it’s tablet with raisin decoction early in the morning. The process of this panchakarma treatment starts after sometime. Total 30 vegas expected to detox properly. 3. Pashchata Karma = post detox dietary management. It consist of diet consumption periodically light diet to normal routine diet. Diseases treated by Virechan Constipation, Anal Diseases like Piles, and fissures. Obesity Acidity, Indigestion Infertility, Menstrual Complaints, Uterine Fibroid, Ovarian Cyst. Skin Disease, Itching, Urticaria. Gall bladder stone, Liver disease, Cirrhosis of the liver. Lipoma, Excessive fat- Cholesterol. Skin tanning, Premature greying of hair. Hypertension, High blood pressure, Diabetes.
