Nasya is used for diseases of Ear, Nose, Throat, Eyes, Hair, Brain related diseases. According to the benefits, there are mainly 3 types of Nasya – 1. Virechana Nasya 2. Bruhana Nasya 3. Shamana Nasya According to the drugs used in Nasya, Nasya is classified as 1. Navana 2. Avpida 3. Pradhamana Nasya. In Nasya procedure firstly massage of face, forehead, and neck is done. Similarly, the head massage is also done with medicated oils. After that Dashamool kadha steam is given and then nasal instillation of desired medicine is done.
